Meet 24 year old artiste, voice over actor and presenter Lucky Lordvic from Ngara area, Nairobi. You have probably heard him on a Daima milk advert, and this interview happened on his first visit to the Alchemist!

” It all started back when I was in campus, JKUAT, and I wanted to be a model. So I did some commercial work for some time, and in the process I started doing voice overs as well. The art and fashion scene in my opinion is growing very rapidly and we are seeing alot of collaboration between people abroad and Kenyans, which helps showcase to the world what is happening here.

I have always wanted to go to New York, for so many reasons, the lifestyle there and I think there would be many opportunities to really push my career, probably on Broadway! It’s a city that never sleeps, and they’ve got the statue of liberty!

My music taste is quite diverse because I enjoy Rhumba when I’m with my dad, country when with mum, but I primarily listen to hip hop. I also like jazz. My top three favorite artistes are Jay Z, J Cole and Kanye West. I’m Kenya I like Khaligraph Jones, Sauti Sol, Camp Mulla and P Unit.

The first thing I really liked when I walked in was how nice everything looked. Pictures on social media sometimws don’t really do it much justice because you would think that it’s just like any other club, but it really isn’t. It’s a very nice chill spot that is unlike any other club I have seen.

War or peace? There is a Swahili saying that goes Amani haiji ila kwa ncha ya upanga , which sounds rather morbid, but I am for peace. Whoever made the quote probably had his reasons.

If I was stuck on an island with 3 things they would probably be my laptop, phone and someone beautiful.” #FacesofAlchemist
